It is commonly cooked with palm oil, smoked fish, onions, tomatoes, and peppers, offering a smoky flavour and a thick, porridge-like consistency.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n<div class=\"et_pb_heading_2 et_pb_heading et_animated et_pb_module et_flex_module\"><div class=\"et_pb_heading_container\"><h1 class=\"et_pb_module_header\">Ingredients:<\/h1><\/div><\/div>\n\n<div class=\"et_pb_text_2 et_pb_text et_pb_bg_layout_light et_animated et_pb_module et_flex_module\"><div class=\"et_pb_text_inner\" data-et-mv-hidden-phone=\"true\"><p class=\"p1\">The base is usually yam, cocoyam, sweet potatoes, or even plantain, palm oil (or Zomi), pepper, salt, onions and smoked fish.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n<div class=\"et_pb_heading_3 et_pb_heading et_animated et_pb_module et_flex_module\"><div class=\"et_pb_heading_container\"><h1 class=\"et_pb_module_header\">Cooking Method:<\/h1><\/div><\/div>\n\n<div class=\"et_pb_text_3 et_pb_text et_pb_bg_layout_light et_animated et_pb_module et_flex_module\"><div class=\"et_pb_text_inner\" data-et-mv-hidden-phone=\"true\"><p class=\"p1\">Wash, peel, and cut cocoyam into out and boil for 5 minutes. Grind tomatoes, pepper and other spices and add to the cocoyam on fire and allow to cook. Add a bit of palm oil and stir.
